Shun Oguri and Yu Yamada tie the knot
Actor Oguri Shun (29) and actress Yamada Yu (27) announced in a fax to the media that they will get married on Wednesday, March 14, which happens to be White Day in Japan. The two have been dating since March 14 in 2008, so their wedding date will mark their 4th anniversary as a couple.

FFXIII-2: the hypothesis
I might be one of the few Final Fantasy XIII-2 players who really enjoyed its ending. Sure it betrayed FF’s Good Guys Laugh Last tradition, but it was executed well enough and brought us one big step closer to the heart of Fabula Nova Crystallis. A friend and I have debated over FF XIII-2’s plot for weeks, which I thought I’d keep records of here as I work through the Scenario Ultimania for validation points. Spoiler alert!
One recurring question was: why were Serah and Lightning chosen by the Gods?
The fate of favorites
With the exception of Princess Garnet (FF IX), all my favorite characters in a Final Fantasy series seem to fall under one or more of the following categories:
1. Non-playable character
2. Memory of the past
3. Nuked in-game
Guess said trend had just been re-confirmed by FF Type-0 and FF XIII-2. Why must my taste be so cursed…?
I prefer this to FF Type-0 Ultimania because:
1. Character concepts are fun.
2. Number crunching isn’t my thing.
3. エースがカバーに居るから！（自分にとって彼の機敏さとカード技が無ければ零式を攻略する事はほぼ絶望的）

馬鹿新刊の衝撃を知り自分の想いを清算するべくスレに戻ってきた馬鹿騒ぎ信者。
そして、既に建築が始まっているはずの越佐大橋がどうなっているのかを心配し住人に悩みを相談する橋信者。

Another bluff, or…?
To quote Kitase’s words from Europe’s recent FFXIII-2 promotion tour:
“We have been working on Versus XIII consistently since its January PV release. We should be able to provide further (new) details regarding our progress in a couple of months.”
If I remember correctly, 2012 will mark the 6th year to Versus XIII’s marketing effort worldwide. This I assume (or hope, rather) was not part of Square-Enix’s original plan, as many of us have already hit the point where any teaser associated with this game is read/watched with less irritation than indifference. The latter in my opinion is one of the most damaging emotions a gamer could hold for an upcoming title, which might or might not affect the purchasing decision ultimately but will definitely hurt brand confidence.
With that said, I shall not set unrealistic expectations for Versus XIII to actually be released next year despite Kitase’s words. However, would it be asking too much that we are given a tentative release date of this game during 2012? Or start having more than a splash page on the official website…
